D2 Report

On this task I will be writing a report on the amendments that I have made towards my tour and the benefits that the amendments have brought towards the tour.

The advantages that the amendments brought to my tour is that all of the text is now clearer and easier to read and this is because I rewrote all of the text that was unclear and was hard to read, this also makes it easier for people who cannot see properly and when they read the amended version they will read it with much greater ease. Also there was the fuzzy image that I had (the one with the teacher) even though I had to take a completely new photo, the new photo is better than the first one because the photo is clearer and much more view-able plus when someone views the tour and goes onto the teachers and the gallery sections they will be able to see all of the images better, also you can see the teachers face and it gives insight of who most of the teachers are. Before I had amended the "home" button it was 'in hiding' because it was hiding behind the images and the text, then after I had amended it, the viewer could see it better making it easier for people to find and to use, in order to get back to the start.

The sections that I could improve on are:

• The Department 
• The Gallery 
• The Text 

This is because in the Department I could make the text get bigger or bolder and in the Gallery I could make the images zoom in and then contract and possibly make them glow and I believe that this will enhance the users experience with my tour. Also even though I got the information Text from the School website, they use an innovative electronic marking system which means that work gets posted online and that the students can complete their work at home, also I could make the text pulsate/vibrate this would be because the effects of this be amazing and in my opinion I could more people going onto this tour.

The Screenshot above show two of the suggested changes that I would like to change about my product and those changes include: making the text zoom in  and bolder, also making the text pulsate. 

The Screenshot above shows all of the images and the suggested changes that I would make would be: to possibly make the images glow in a colour that keeps the viewers interested.

M3 Amendments

In this documents I will be showing the before and after shots of my tour and the amendments made and stated by David.

The Screenshot above shows that I needed to the size of the text of the "classroom" button and to fill in the space that was in the middle of the buttons.

The screenshot above shows that I have made amendments (suggested by David) and I have re-sized the text of the "classroom" button and I also have filled in the space that was there before. 

The screenshot above shows another amendment the David Suggested that I amend because the image is blurry and you cannot really see his face.

The screenshot above shows that I have made the amendment of that of the last image of the teacher was blurry but now this image is now less blurry and you can see his face more easily.

The screenshot above shows that another amendment that I had to make, and it was that the "home" button was almost completely hidden behind all of the text and images but still clickable.

P6 evaluation

In this document I will be evaluating David Hynd's tour and I will be give my thoughts on what the tour was like and I will review what I thought of his tour.

David's tour was very smooth in the transition between links on the information and the information that was given was very clear to read and is at the quality of that of the Media Department and the smoothness of the complete tour is at top quality. The logo's and the colours of the backgrounds are pretty smart and pretty cool the way that the colours of the vines intertwine with each other, the Green and Black colours go very well together. The visual presentation of Davids tour is an excellent form of creativeness and with the added effect with the "directors cut" made it seem that it is for the media department and it stays throughout the tour. All of the media elements are appropriate because it fully fits in with his chosen department and the smoothness that it produces makes it even more appropriate and the transition the prove needed for the appropriateness of the department. From when viewing upon Davids tour I believe that it is completely fit for purpose because it completely goes in with his department and it is very smart of how he applied what he applied to his tour and I also believe that it works without any errors (besides the videos that he placed into the tour), also the colour scheme that he produced for his tour is completely and strictly fit for purpose and is completely professional for his chosen department, I believe that Davids tour is very easy to use and to work and also it is not confusing in the slightest because everything is interactive. The Image below shows that Davids videos didn't quite work properly but other than that all of the tour works properly and is very professional mainly because of the way it is laid out and the way that it is presented.

The amendments that I would say, would be: the videos will need to be embedded on to the tour, at the end of the tour when it fades away it doesn't go back to the start so it's a possibility bring it back to the start by using a button, also there is a change that he could use the panorama, could use more images or more multi-media, possibility that you could include some music (to liven things up slightly), also David could get some images of the media teachers so that the people that are using his tour can see what teachers are in the department

P3 legal requirements

In my Virtual Tour I have made my own music which I made by using "Garageband" also I took my own pictures and for the text I used the Text from the Kingswood School Website but I rewrote most of the text that I included in this tour. In the Pictures that I took the people in those pictures knew full well that I was taking those pictures. None of the above has been plagiarized and I had full permission to take the pictures that I needed and for the music that I created it doesn't come into breach of any copyright law because it is my own work. P5 testing

I have completed my first draft of virtual tour and I have included music which caused me some problem as in the music wouldn't place past a certain frame but I have managed to solve this problem. I solved this by inserting a "key frame" into each of the beginning slots in the script then inserting the necessary sound that I wanted to put into the tour and now it works without a problem. I have also included forwarding button onto the "Home" section of this tour, the screenshot below shows that I have included a button into my tour and that it works properly in the before and after effect.  

The screenshot below shows that I have included transitions into my tour and it works to the full extent that I wanted it to and eventually these images will disappear off the screen 

The screenshot below shows another transition but with all of the images (that I took myself) and placed then into a gallery with all of the image in a messy state then eventually they tidy up 

I have created links onto the buttons in which allows the user to go to that specific section of the tour and every time the user clicks onto the "home" button music will play but when the user clicks onto another section then the music would stop.
